افغانستان دهه 1960

نمای صلح آمیز افغانستان دهه 1960 تصویری بسیار متفاوت از کشوری ارائه می کند که با فساد و ناآرامی دست به گریبان است. در 1960، پروفسور دانشگاه ایالت آریزونا دکتر بیل پادلیچ[1] و خانواده اش تابستان سخت و شرجی تمپ[2] آریزونا را به مقصد حوالی کابل، افغانستان ترک کردند. بعد از خدمت در جنگ جهانی دوم، پادلیچ خواست تا در اقدامی با هدف صلح و آرامش نقش داشته باشد و به همین دلیل، با یونسکو برای کار به مدت دو سال در دانشکده مدرسان عالی کابل، افغانستان همکاری کرد. به همراه او فرزندانش، ژن و پگ[3]، به همراه همسرش مارگارت حضور داشتند.

پادلیچ در زمانهایی که با همکاران افغانی­اش نبود، فیلم کوداکروم[4] خود را ساخت، که افغانستان در حال مدرن شدن و صلح آمیز را نشان می­دهد و چیزی کاملاً متفاوت از تصاویر و افکار دلخراشی که امروز ما در ارتباط با این کشور جنگ-زده می­بینیم به تصویر می­کشد. به عقیده­ی پگ پادلیچ، به همین دلیل است که عکس­های پدرش پادلیچ بسیار اهمیت دارند. پادلیچ ادامه می­دهد، این عکس­ها «می­توانند باعث شوند مردم افغانستان و مردم آن را آنگونه که بودند و می­توانند باشند ببینند. دانستن این مطلب مهم است که ما با مردم سرزمین­های دیگر بیشتر از آنچه ما را از هم جدا می­کند، نقاط اشتراک داریم.»

Download Web Files Directly to Your Cloud Storage

Have you ever wondered what would it be like if you could attach a file to your Email message, which is on the web?

Have you ever encountered a file on the web that you need to store for later but at that time you don't have fast Internet connection?

Normally you have to download files into your computer and then upload it to your online cloud service.

This idea came to my mind when I needed to send a clip to my friend via E-mail but I didn't want to download it first to my computer increasing Internet cost. so I googled "Download Directly to your Drop Box" and after several hits, I found the result! Viola!

There was already there, something like what I had in mind!

The following website includes a web app called "Save Web Files". There you can give the link of the file to be saved to cloud. then you choose one of several cloud options, all of which this app supports connection to. Here is a snapshot:

Once you choose your Cloud Service Provider, you are redirected to a page that asks your permisson to connect to your cloud(Note that you should already be a registered user of the cloud service e.g. DropBox, GoogleDrive, SkyDrive,etc. all of which have free services). If needed, enter your credentials (username,password) to get access to the cloud.

You're done!

You just saved a file wholely in your web storage without getting it to your computer first.

How to fail in flashing your Nokia phone!

I recently bought an Asha 200 of Nokia and it happened to turn out Arabic, so I figured out I needed to flash it to Farsi, something I hadn't encountered before. I used lots of googling and downloaded some various software to find out Nokia doesn't allow public access to its flashing firmware anymore and it seems they have set to solely on their authorized agencies of maintenance and repair.

Even Nokia Care Suite is not available anymore from Nokia's website and it's said they have started this action from the beginning of 2013.

However I did my best with the software at hand and getting the firmware from some other third-party website that hosted the seeming-the-same-firmware-as-Nokia's files. I tried JAF as well as Phoenix, both outdated. After about 10 hours of work I got no result and I failed every time. It seems as if Nokia has implemented a something in the handset inhibiting unauthorized flashing.

In short I recommend you never do it as I was about to kill my phone! So please be ok with referring to the Nokia Care Center upon whatever problem occurred for your phone!
